The four OWLS-II scales — Listening Comprehension (LC), Oral Expression (OE), Reading Comprehension (RC), and Written Expression (WE) — give a complete, accurate, and useful picture of language skills.

Features

The LC and OE Scales assess receptive and expressive language. The WE Scale measures the expressive aspects of written language. The RC Scale measures the receptive aspects of written language and is uniquely effective in identifying language factors that may be impairing or facilitating reading comprehension.

Each of the four scales assesses four linguistic structures:

Lexical/Semantics
Syntax
Pragmatics
Supralinguistics

You must have Windows XP SP3 or Macintosh OS 10.4 to run the OWLS-II scoring software.

Please note: Apple dropped support for Coco causing these programs to quit working from 10.5 forward.
